Our Client

Our client makes low-cost, instant financial services and payments globally consistent for everyone via the mobile number. They are creating the first global mobile money network, connecting a worldwide network of wallets through the most universal identifier—the phone number.


Why our client is hiring for this position/mission

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing both front-end and back-end systems for our web applications, ensuring the highest quality of user experience. You will collaborate closely with our designers and other developers to bring our digital products to life, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and scalable


Team

You will be part of a team of ~9 people, and will be reporting to the Manager. 


Responsibilities:


- Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality code for our web applications using React, NextJS, Scala, Kotlin, and AWS.

- Implement responsive web design principles to ensure consistent rendering across multiple devices.

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate visual and written designs into efficient front-end systems.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO.

- Debug and troubleshoot layout and scripting issues across a variety of browsers.

- Develop and maintain APIs and backend services using Scala and AWS.

- Ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems.

- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.


Requirements

- 5+ years of proven experience in full stack development.

- Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript (ES6), HTML5, and CSS3.

- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, NextJs) and back-end technologies (Scala, Kotlin, AWS).

- Familiarity with CSS preprocessing platforms, such as Tailwind CSS.

- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.

- Proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Understanding of CI/CD processes.

- Understanding of SEO principles.

- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).

- Excellent communication skills


Timezone

- Working in the Eastern Time Zone


Recruitment Process

1 Screening (30 mins): Introductory call to assess basic fit and discuss the role.

2 - Home Assignment (2.5 hours): Practical task to evaluate technical skills, with a ~3-day deadline.

3 - Technical Discussion (45 mins - 1 hour): discuss the results and technical aspects of the home test.

4 - Cultural Fit (15 min)
